Academy Conversion Funnel Strategy

You have a free course (Creator Foundations) that captures leads. You have a paid Academy with four pricing tiers. The gap: there is no structured conversion mechanism between those two endpoints.

Right now, the path probably looks like this: someone enrolls in the free course, consumes some content, maybe sees a CTA to join the Academy, maybe does not. If they do not convert within the first few days, they fall into your general email list and may or may not hear from you again with a targeted pitch. That is leaving money on the ground.

Step 1: Free Course Completion Trigger

When a Creator Foundations enrollee completes the free course (or reaches the final module), Kajabi triggers an automation that does two things:

  1. Tags the contact in ConvertKit with "free-course-complete"
  2. Redirects them to a new page: the Academy Bridge Page

If Kajabi cannot trigger on course completion, use a time-based proxy: 7 days after enrollment, assume partial completion and trigger the sequence. Better to catch someone mid-course than never.

Step 2: The Academy Bridge Page

A dedicated Kajabi page (not your main Academy sales page) designed specifically for free course graduates. One job: convert free users to paid.

Acknowledges what they just completed (validates their effort) and opens the loop for what is missing.

Section 2: The Gap
